Chief Johnny Lonesome is a classic New Orleans style pianist who's list
of accomplishments is longer than the hairstyle he sported in his youth. He found
success early in his career with the Lafayette,Louisiana Jazz-Rock band 'Celestial Spring'.
Through the mid 70's, Johnny toured with Charles and Charmaine Nevile and Z.Z. Hill. In 1979 Johnny returned to his roots in Columbus, OH where he continues to energize and electrify weekly.
Johnny is a master of the New Orleans R&B style and has shared the stage with:

Chief Johnny Lonesome is also a thirteen year veteran of Columbus's own Ray Fuller and
The Blues Rockers.
Johnny's influences include James Booker, Dr. John, Fats Domino, Professor Longhair, Roosevelt Sykes, Memphis Slim, Pinetop Perkins and Otis Spann.
He has also held the position of Musical Director with the Phoenix Theatre for Three Childrens Theatre Productions:
- 'Go, Dog, Go'
- 'Frog and Toad'
- 'An Axe, an Apple, and a Buckskin Jacket'
One of Johnny's favorite accomplishments is having a sandwich named after him at The Thirsty Ear Tavern...the Chief Johnny Turkey Wrap. Johnny was bestowed the namesake sandwich after his quartet performed at the venue every Tuesday for 3 1/2 years.
